Bon alors, je faisais ma veille habituelle sur le net, un tour d’horizon des nouvelles collections d’hiver récemment installées, notamment dans le but avoué de relancer une certaine marque-mais-on-en-parlera-plus-tard… Et voilà que je tombe sur la dernière collection enfant d’American Outfitters, qui. Est. Canon.
J’ai toujours plutôt aimé Ao, mais là ils ont mis pile dans ce qu’il faut, ce dont on a envie, ce qui va nous faire stopper net. Ca part dans plein de directions différentes (carreaux, denim, aquarelle, liberty) et pourtant le tout est ultra cohérent. Chaque direction est bonne, donne envie et répond aux autres. Le photoshoot est précis et pointu. Les petits gamins sont beaux. Les fringues sont coupées justes. Bref je suis fan.

Okay then, I was doing my usual watch on the net, a new winter collections recently launched overview, especially with the avowed objective of re-launching a certain brand (i’m not kidding but we’ll talk later) .. . and then I came across the latest kids collection of American Outfitters wich. Is. Perfect.
I always rather liked Ao, but this… This is a hit. Smack bang in the zeitgeist, exactly what will make us stop dead. That goes in lots of different directions (plaid checks, denim, watercolor, liberty) and yet the whole thing is ultra consistent. Each direction is good and meets the other. The photoshoot is precise and sharp. The little kids are beautiful. The clothes cuts are heavenly shaped. In short I’m a fan.
