Niveau marques qui ont du talent, je dois avouer que je n’ai pas repéré grand chose au Who’s Next cette saison. Peut-être que c’était moi qui n’étais pas dans un bon jour, mais j’ai parcouru les allées en papotant, ce que je fais toujours depuis 15 ans, et cette fois ci je n’ai pas été particulièrement attirée. Sauf par ce petit bijou néerlandais pour lequel j’ai quand même pris le temps de m’arrêter prendre une photo et un catalogue. J’aurais bien discuté avec la créatrice mais elle était prise d’assaut, et je le comprends.
Donc le concept, dont je suis fan, c’est de faire des bijoux textiles en 2D. Uli propose de ramèner le collier ou le bracelet sur une surface plane, souple puisqu’en tissu, elle même sérigraphiée d’un bijou. Le rendu est top, hyper réaliste et intriguant. Suivant les angles de vue on n’a évidemment pas affaire au même bijou. C’aurait facilement pu être bien naze mais là, c’est rock et bien pensé. L’efficacité nordique quoi.
En même temps, moi, dès qu’il y a de la sérigraphie…

Regarding brands that have talent, I must confess that I have not spotted much this season in Who’s Next. Maybe it was me that was not in a good day but I browsed the aisles chatting, what I always do since 15 years, and this time I was not particularly attracted. Except this little Dutch find, for which I still took the time to stop and take a photo catalog. I would have talked with the designer but she was storming, and I understand.
So i’m big fan of the concept, wich is to make 2D textile jewelery. Uli proposes to reduce the necklace or bracelet on a flat soft tissue surface, itself silkscreened with a gem. The top is made, hyper realistic and intriguing. The jewel is obviously different following the viewing angles. This could easily have sucked but it’s rock and well thought out though. The Nordic efficiency I believe.
